It’s the same with coaching team or staff members. Very often, you don’t have the time for an hour of coaching, maybe not even fifteen minutes. In that case, you should resolve to have a “coaching conversation”.
Coaching also will not work if the relationship is forced! The coaching relationship is a voluntary relationship and is entered into as an agreement between the client and coach; not the client, coach, and a third party.
Not only must the client be open and honest but the client must also desire coaching. Disinterested and disengaged participants will not have a successful coaching experience.
